Why this exists
Making a real font used to mean choosing between two bad options: an hour of carefully hand-filling a paper template, character by character, or learning professional font-editing software with a learning curve measured in months. Meanwhile, the tools that promised to be easy — the "font generators" of the internet — mostly turned out to make pictures of text, or Unicode look-alikes, rather than anything you could install and type with.
Coki Fonts was built to close that gap. You give it something with letters in it — a photographed handwriting sample, a logo, a piece of lettering you love — and AI draws the complete 85-character set in that style. The sheet is traced into genuine vector outlines in your browser, and a full point editor lets you finish it the way a type designer would: adjust curves, fix spacing, regenerate a single glyph if the AI missed. The export is a real font: TTF, WOFF, WOFF2, with a commercial license.
The rules the product is built on
The output is a font file, or it doesn't count. Everything Coki produces installs on your computer and embeds on the web.
AI drafts; you decide. Generation gets you most of the way, but the editor is half the product — because "close" isn't the same as "done."
Honest comparisons. The blog reviews competing tools by what they actually output, links to all of them, and says plainly when another tool is the better pick for your job. That costs us some sign-ups and earns your trust; we like the trade.
