Founding beta 20 spots Closes August 20
Come break it

20 people.
50 fonts each.
One honest opinion.

I built Coki Fonts on my own, and I've reached the part where my own opinion stops being useful. So: twenty people, a serious pile of free generations, and a direct line to me — in exchange for telling me the truth about what happens when you actually use it.

50 generations · no card · founding price for life

The trade

It's a deal, not a giveaway.

Free credits with nothing asked in return get used once and forgotten. So this one has two sides, and I'd rather be upfront about both.

What you get

The good half

  • 1 50 font generations Ten times the normal free trial. Enough to make something real, have it come out wrong, and try again — which is the part I most need to watch.
  • 2 A direct line to me Not a support queue. If a trace comes out mangled, send it over and I'll dig into your actual sheet.
  • 3 Founding price, for life Send feedback and you keep 50% off forever — whatever the price does later. It switches on when your feedback lands, so hold off upgrading until then.
  • 4 Fonts that stay yours Everything you export is yours commercially, beta or not. Nothing expires, nothing gets watermarked.

What I'm asking

The other half

  • 1 One real font, start to finish Upload something, generate, clean it up, export it, install it. The whole run — that's where the bodies are buried.
  • 2 A short write-up afterward Five questions, ten minutes. Where it confused you, where it broke, whether you'd have paid for it.
  • 3 Permission to show it off If you make something great, I'd love to feature it — with credit, and only if you say yes.
  • 4 Patience with the rough edges The tracer has opinions about messy scans. That's exactly why you're here.

Twenty spots, not first-come. Applications are open until August 20 and I'll read every one, because I'd rather pick twenty people who'll actually put it through its paces than twenty people who refreshed fastest.

Apply

Tell me what you'd
make a font from.

That's genuinely the whole filter. I'm looking for people with something specific in mind — your grandmother's recipe cards, a band logo, the sign above a shop you love — because specific beats enthusiastic every time.

Before you apply

Fair questions.

The things I'd want to know before handing my email to a stranger's beta.

Is this actually free, or free-then-charged?

Actually free. No card at any point, and the 50 generations don't convert into a subscription when they run out — you'd just be back to a normal account. The founding discount is a thank-you for feedback, not a trap door.

What if I'm not a designer?

Good — I need you more than I need designers. Most of what breaks in a tool like this breaks for people who don't already know what a bézier handle is, and I can't see those problems myself anymore.

Do I keep the fonts if I don't continue?

Yes. Anything you export is yours to use commercially, forever, whether or not you ever pay me a cent. No watermarks, no revocation, no expiry.

What does "feedback" actually mean here?

A short form after you've made one font — five questions, about ten minutes. If you want to go deeper I'll happily take a call, but that's optional and I won't chase you for it.

What happens if I'm not picked?

You can still make fonts — every account starts with five free generations, no application required. And if people drop out I'll go back to the list, so applying isn't wasted.

Who's behind this?

Paul Yerrick. One person, building this because turning a piece of lettering into a font you can actually type with should not require a week and a $400 app.
